How Do Portable Fireplaces Work?
In an electric fireplace the heat is
produced through the use of electricity and then radiated into the room
through the use of a fan.
Portable fireplaces show that we now have total control over fire, or at
least the illusion of fire. Ever since the first discovery of fire
humans have been looking for ways to efficiently and successfully use
its power. Today most of us can say that we have sat around a fire,
warmed our home with fire, and even used it to prepare our meals.
Technological advances have made it easier than ever to use and enjoy
fire. Traditional fireplaces were a difficult affair, but portable
fireplaces are easily used by anyone. We can satisfy our urge to sit
around a roaring fire, without any of the drawbacks from previous times.
Some may find the idea of a portable fireplace ridiculous, it is
impossible to do because of the need for a chimney. That would be true,
except that we are discussing electric fireplaces. These fireplaces do
not emit any smoke or gases, so there is no need for a chimney. They are
“zero clearance” appliances that can be plugged in anywhere.
In an electric fireplace the heat is produced through the use of
electricity and then radiated into the room through the use of a fan.
This makes them much more efficient than wood or gas burning fireplaces
where almost half of the heat produced gets released through the chimney
with the smoke and gases. You get the look and feel of real flames
through the use of realistic looking logs and special light effects. The
best part is that when you are finished all you need to do is unplug it
and take it with you wherever you go.
